I am a committed family man, longtime resident, and dedicated leader with years of public service experience, who cares deeply about the future of our beloved city. I have spent many years volunteering and serving with organizations that benefit our city, such as:
At each organization, through my expertise and leadership skills I have worked to advance their missions, and when requested, better coordinate their structure and fiscal health. I have a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and 37 years of worked experience with the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. At Metropolitan I have worked in various disciplines, like survey, substructure and civil design, annexations, property management, water supply analysis, legislation, and media. I am a fluent Spanish speaker, who serves as MWD’s Spanish media spokesman.
I believe that expenditure and policy decision of local government should stem from and strive for the greater good of families. As your councilman, I will work toward bringing greater civility and prosperity to our city, via civic pride, sound fiscal policy, transparency, and truth.
The City of Rancho Cucamonga is basically a large company with revenues that must be spent wisely on resident's behalf. A regular company has a Board of Directors whose job it is to maintain the best interests of the company and stakeholders and not spend funds that are more than revenues. Unlike the other candidate running for the same seat, I have the business experience, acumen, and credentials to ensure the city is operated within budget and in the best interests of stakeholders, you the residents.
I have just been elected President of the Foothill Family Shelter. A transitional homeless shelter for families with children. The Shelter upholds a “Hand Up” philosophy through accountability and counseling. Over my tenure, the Shelters reserves have more than tripled.
I have the education, experience and leadership skills needed to address municipal revenue reductions, resulting from overreaching legislation, compounding inflation that’s impacting sales, and impending large state budget deficits. These unfortunate occurrences will impact essential and senior services, crime, job creation, taxes, and family culture.
For these and other reasons, I’m hereby running for Rancho Cucamonga City Council. I respectfully invite you to support efforts toward this goal by sharing my website. Thank you for helping promote a vision of civility, prosperity, and sound public policy.
I am running in the Rancho Cucamonga City Council elections on November 5th, because I am concerned about the downhill direction the City of Rancho Cucamonga is heading. For instance:
None of these issues are new. They have all been ignored or promoted by the current City Council. Without a change you can expect all these issues to continue.
All my friends and neighbors feel the same way. On their behalf, and yours, I am officially running for Rancho Cucamonga City Council, District 1, November ‘24, election.
